Bulk Pick Up
Seasonal bulk collection began in 2006.
Up
to one cubic yard of bulk will be collected from the curb in front of your
home four times a year. Bulk will not be collected every month.
One cubic yard of bulk is about the size of a couch, stove or refrigerator. Your
one cubic yard of bulk cannot weigh more than 1,000 pounds. Bulk items totaling
more than one cubic yard or weighing more than 1,000 pounds will not
be
collected, and the homeowner and tenant will be subject to a fine of up to
$10,000.
You will have four Bulk Collection days in a

These drop-off locations are open to Detroit residents only with proper
identification. Residents are limited to one load per household per day, not to
exceed one cubic yard or 1,000 pounds. The City will not accept demolition,
construction, or remodeling debris (including shingles), household or commercial
garbage, or tree stumps.
