Welcome

The Holbrook-King Block Club was founded in the 1960’s to build a feeling of community among all of the residents and despite name changes over the years, we are still going strong. We are committed to a vision of augmentation and beautification of our neighborhood.

Our Mission

The Holbrook King Community Block Club is here to serve our community; by improving the appearance and spirit of the neighborhood, to be a vehicle of shared information by staying abreast of the needs of the community and by being informed of the goods, programs and initiatives available.

The Holbrook King Community Block Club strives to enhance quality of life for all within our boundaries which will hopefully become infectious throughout Detroit.

Holbrook King CBC Executive Board

From the President

We confidently believe that thru community awareness of cultural, educational and likely economical opportunities and or programs, a sense of neighborhood esteem can permeate thru out. These significant prospects are key in cultivating pride for our surroundings.

Along with endless valuable opportunities, HKCBC is also focused on forthcoming neighborhood events (i.e. Jazz on John R) to encourage family participation and strong community involvement.

Our boundaries are Woodland to The Blvd and I75 to Woodward. We meet from 6pm to 7:45pm every third Thursday at the Family Place on Woodward. Please come join the Holbrook King Community Block Club and be a part of our effort to become an informed, caring, united and socially active block club.

Sincerely,

Holbrook King CBC President

Eugene Moore
